Warning Rant!

OK. I've been in the Cellphone business for 6 years and I've got to get this out. WHEN YOU PURCHASE A "FREE" OR CHEAP CELL PHONE, YOU ARE NOT PAYING REGULAR PRICE! These phone are worth at least $150 to $200. The companies sell them at a discount to get you to sign the 1 or 2 year contract. So when you break the phone you cannot buy another for "FREE", unless your contract is expired.

Another side to that is you would have to pay $150 and up to not sign a contract. So don't expect to go into a store and demand a "FREE" or Cheap cellphone with no contract. It is annoying to the salesperson and you look like an ARSE!!!

I have had numerous ARGUMENTS with customer who do not understand this.

Side note to cellphone companies. Stop the insanity. Do away with contracts and break fees. Sell the phones for $150 and up and make the customers put value in them.

Vacation

Going camping for a week. If I have cell service/have anything to post I will. Maybe I can get a video or some pics to post.

To Vlog or not to Vlog

I have been researching vlogging or video blogging. I think it is cool and the humor factor is potentially great. But I am wondering if I should vlog. I do have the capability of recording short videos on my phone and could post them right here. But would they be interesting/funny/good/insightfully? Then again is my postings interesting/funny/good/insightfully now? Be prepared my 2 readers, I may just have to post a video soon.

Where

Where am I going with this journal of mine? I question whether I will have new stuff to post. When I started it I wanted to have a place to put my thoughts and now I find it hard to find things to post about. Writers block perhaps.

Maybe if I could come up with a direction or purpose for this journal. Or perhaps a cool name other than online journal. If anyone has suggestions let me know.

Curio madness maybe over

Curio madness maybe over. My wife brought home souvenirs from her Europe trip. The mini swords she bought for me. She may not have intended them to be put in the cabinet, but that's where I put them.

Attacks on London unsettling

The attacks on London are unsettling. They particularly hit home to me as my family just got back from a 2 week stay in England. My daughter informed me that just 2 days ago they were shopping and riding the trains and buses that were bombed. Our thoughts are with those effected by this attack.

More Curio Madness

This is my mini Baseball hat collection. We'll see how long it takes my wife to notice/request its removal.

Ticket

I was driving to my parents for the weekend. 2 kids with me. I was using my wife's car. I was stopped at a DUI checkpoint. This was about an hour from our house. It turns out that she forgot to renew her tags. So I now have a ticket for driving with expired tags. The officer who issued the ticket was very nice and let me drive home. He could have impounded the car, leaving me and the kids calling for a ride.

My wife several weeks ago went ballistic on me because I forgot to stop at the store and pick up milk. So now I think I've got her. Now it's my turn to go ballistic. When I talk to her about it, she's says "It's no big deal, It's just money." NO WE COULD HAVE BEEN STRANDED WITHOUT A CAR!!!
